Towards the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the youth of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Phu Quoc Special Zone organized the Journey program "I love my Fatherland". The journey has many meaningful and practical activities, associated with the task of protecting the sovereignty and security of the Southwest sea and islands of the Fatherland.
Thereby, arousing the youth of the Command of the Region to be proud of the glorious historical tradition of the nation, contributing to raising awareness of affirming the stature and historical significance of the August Revolution in 1945 and the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam). The journey took place in a vibrant atmosphere, with the participation of more than 108 union members, youth of the Coast Guard, local union members, and union members of the armed forces on the island.
The highlight of the program is the flag-raising ceremony and incense burning in gratitude "I love my Fatherland" held at the Historical Site of the Vietnam Communist Prisoner's Prisoner's Prison - Phu Quoc. This activity aims to commemorate and express gratitude for the great contributions of heroes and martyrs, those who have remained steadfast and indomitable in prison, contributing to the great victory of the nation. The sacred and solemn space of the ceremony aroused the younger generation in pride, gratitude and a sense of responsibility to preserve and promote revolutionary traditions.
With the spirit of "Wherever there is youth, what is difficult for youth", the "I love my Fatherland" journey program will be the highlight of the series of activities to celebrate the country's major holidays, affirming the pioneering, creative and volunteer role of the youth of Coast Guard Region 4 and the youth of Phu Quoc Special Zone in the cause of firmly protecting the sovereignty of the Southwest sea and islands of the Fatherland.
