On February 10, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung received the Standing Committee of the Patronage Council, Standing Committee of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (GHPGVN).
Attending the reception were Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Member of the Patronage Council, Standing Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the VBS.

Sharing at the working session, Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu said that in 2025, GHPGVN has proactively and drastically rearranged the organization according to the adjustment of the State's administrative boundaries, ensuring unity, stability and going into regular operation from July 1.
This contributes to "peace for the people", helping religious activities to take place harmoniously, in accordance with the law, and better serve the spiritual life of believers and people.
Along with that, GHPGVN continues to expand foreign affairs activities, participate in regional religious conferences of the three countries Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia and many international forums, thereby spreading the image of peaceful, worldly and responsible Vietnamese Buddhism.

Speaking at the reception, Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung said: The visits and sharing of church levels to disabled children and the poor; the responsible companionship with the Fatherland Front and functional sectors in eliminating temporary houses, dilapidated houses, and overcoming the consequences of storms and floods... have left a deep mark in social life.
According to the Minister, the core value of these activities is not only in material things but in feelings, civic responsibility and compatriotism, showing the strong bond between religion and life.
In the context of the world and regional situation still facing many instabilities, the Minister emphasized the important meaning of maintaining social security and safety. With the tradition of solidarity and unity from 1981 to present, GHPGVN has been and is actively contributing to this common goal.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung affirmed that the big goal that the Party, State and Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions are aiming for is "security, people's safety, social security and safety". With more than 14 million followers, GHPGVN is an important social force, with many conditions to accompany and spread these values.
In the coming time, the Minister hopes that GHPGVN will continue to consolidate the training system and assign personnel suitable for each region; and at the same time closely coordinate to successfully organize Buddhist Congresses at all levels, towards the 10th National Buddhist Congress and the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Sangha.
Preparing to enter the new year Binh Ngo 2026, with a solid foundation and a deep spirit of entering the world, it is expected that GHPGVN will continue to spread the value of "4 Sacred Words", contributing to building a stable, compassionate and sustainable society," Minister Dao Ngoc Dung expressed.
