On August 28, the Office of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province said that Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan has just issued a plan to organize activities to respond to Vietnam Culture Day 2026, with a peak in November. The activities aim to honor the values of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, promote local image, develop cultural tourism and build the Dong Thap cultural brand.
The launching ceremony to respond to Vietnam Culture Day is expected to be held in November at Hung Vuong Square, Dao Thanh ward. A special art program is expected to take place at 8:00 PM on November 23rd. Prominent is the activity of promoting heritage and craft villages. The series of events will feature a thematic photo exhibition "Dong Thap Cultural Heritage", an exhibition "Collection of Vases" made of Vietnamese ceramics and metal at the Provincial Museum facility 1, My Tho ward. At the Provincial Museum facility 2, Cao Lanh ward, people and tourists can experience traditional crafts such as weaving mats, weaving robes, making spring rolls; grilling rice paper, puffed rice paper. The library system also organizes exhibitions of books, documents, art book stacking and a book introduction contest using video clips with the theme "Family Reading Books - Connecting Love".

Notably, the Dat Sen Hong - Dong Thap Marathon 2026, taking place from October 9-11 in Cao Lanh ward, will integrate content promoting Vietnam Culture Day, introducing culture, heritage, scenic spots, typical products and Dong Thap cuisine.
The province also organizes culinary cultural exchanges at the Culinary Space, introducing typical dishes and specialties and creating space for communities and businesses to exchange with people and tourists. At the same time, it organizes the Workshop "Sustainable cultural and tourism development" to exchange solutions to preserve and promote cultural and heritage values associated with green tourism and sustainable tourism. According to the plan, response activities will take place in October and November, peak period in November. Localities are encouraged to organize more art programs, sports, folk games, exhibitions, mobile film screenings, introducing OCOP products, craft villages and traditional cuisine.
