In order to improve the effectiveness of ethnic minority affairs and promote the role of prestigious people among ethnic minorities, in the past time, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Can Tho City has advised on fully implementing support policies, and at the same time organized delegations to exchange, study, and share experiences in many localities.
Implementing Official Dispatch No. 6977/VPUB-KGVX dated June 12, 2026 of the People's Committee of Can Tho City and Plan No. 72/KH-SDTTG, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Can Tho City organized 2 delegations of prestigious typical people and officials from departments and branches to study in Ca Mau, An Giang, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Lam Dong.
In localities, delegations worked with the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, exchanging experiences on ethnic affairs, ethnic policies and solutions to promote the role of prestigious people. Delegates also surveyed many models of economic development, sustainable poverty reduction, high-tech agriculture, community tourism development and national cultural identity preservation.

In addition, the delegations visited many historical and cultural relics such as Dat Mui Ca Mau, the No Number Ship Historical Relic in Vung Ro, Phu Quoc Prison, Buon Don, T'Nung Lake and cultural spaces in the Central Highlands. These activities contribute to fostering patriotism, raising awareness about preserving cultural identity and strengthening national solidarity.
Through study trips, many good models and effective ways of doing things are shared, from the method of implementing ethnic policies, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system to the experience of propagating and mobilizing people to develop production, build a cultural life and maintain security and order at the grassroots level.
According to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Can Tho City, in the coming time, the unit will continue to advise on the effective implementation of policies for prestigious people, creating conditions for this team to promote its role as a bridge between Party committees, authorities and ethnic minorities, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc and promoting socio-economic development of the locality.
