On April 30, hundreds of people flocked to the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village to experience the cultural space recreating the highland market imbued with the cultural colors of ethnic groups.
The program with the theme "High-altitude meeting places introduce the highlight space at the highland market with the typical colors of ethnic groups and the interaction of cultural entities.
Despite the hot weather, many families and groups of tourists are still present at the Cultural Village to visit and experience activities recreating the highland market.


Sharing with Lao Dong reporter, Ms. Mai Huong Cam (Gia Lam, Hanoi) said that she, her husband and children arrived here early.
"I know about the highland market activities at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village when looking for entertainment activities on the occasion of the April 30 holiday. After consideration, my wife and I chose this activity to help our children better understand the culture and customs of ethnic groups in Vietnam. When coming here, children can play, eat, and study ethnic culture.
On the way, we also watched the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Ceremony through television. The whole family is excited and proud of the important days of the country," said Ms. Cam.

Here, visitors have the opportunity to experience traditional cuisine, delicious dishes such as monk fruit, sticky rice, roast pork, cooking corn wine, grilled fish, roasted chicken, Cao Bang rolls...
Thai ethnic people bring to the market the specialty of dishes such as pork stew. The pork belly is only skewered with lean fat, grilled on a charcoal stove, giving off an attractive aroma to visitors.


The market also sells typical local products such as brocade, musical instruments, dried items, products, wine, bamboo shoots, vermicelli, vegetables, tubers, fresh fruits, etc.
Some ethnic groups introduce traditional crafts: weaving, brocade weaving, beeswax printing, wine cooking...
People can directly participate in folk music programs, folk dances, folk games of the Ha Nhi, Mong ethnic groups, Xinh Mun of Son La, Lai Chau provinces...

In particular, the area for playing jumping jacks, bamboo dances, and folk dance is participated by many young people and families because of its simple, unique, and novel playing style.
Ms. Bui Ngoc Mai (Duong Lam, Son Tay) enjoys playing at the club. She learned the name of the spurs through the song "De Mi Di Da" by Hoang Thuy Linh, which included the line "Em Khong Da Co Ca Ca".
Therefore, she was also excited to try throwing a spade through the circle set up high up. Many people lined up to play throwing and catching crabs to continuously cheer for the players.
