According to a representative of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An, phase 2 of the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
The project of the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Heritage was approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province to design construction drawings and estimate the construction of main items on September 20, 2016.

The main scale of the project includes: 500-seat auditorium, administrative, research, collection, conservation and auxiliary rooms. The architectural complex is 5 stories high, with a floor plan of 55.5m x 36m; construction area of 2,195m2.
The project's phase 1 implementation period was no more than 5 years from 2016, however, after more than 8 years, the project has just completed phase 1 and construction has been suspended for 8 years.
As Lao Dong reported, at the end of 2024, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued a document urging and assigning responsibility to the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An to urgently complete and put the province's key cultural project into use to promote efficiency.
