Peaceful colors
The red flag with a yellow star flew over the sky of Bangui (Central African Republic), joined by the emotional and proud National Anthem of the Vietnamese peacekeeping officers, to open the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 at the MINUSCA Delegation.
In a foreign land, the event became a bridge to connect, promoting the image of a heroic, humane and responsible Vietnam in the hearts of international friends.
Through the photos, footage of the flags and flowers, familiar songs from the homeland, the atmosphere of celebrating the National Day of Independence also spread, joyful throughout the members of the Vietnam Working Group at the MINUSCA Delegation. The blue Beret soldiers of Vietnam together created a warm and solemn ceremony, as the confessions of those who were far away from home sent back to their homeland in the sacred moment of the nation.
The ceremony is not only a meeting place for Vietnamese children to review history, but also a bridge to help international friends at MINUSCA Delegation understand more about the 80 years of the nation's journey of independence and freedom. The presence of MINUSCA Squad Leader, representative of the European Union Military Training Squad (EUTM RCA), and more than 80 international officers and employees brought a cohesive atmosphere, together sending wishes to all over the world to live in peace, stability, no more violence, so that they can soon complete their mission of maintaining peace and returning to their families.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Duy Van Son - Commander of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Force in the Central African Republic, Head of the Working Group - affirmed: "No matter wherever, every Vietnamese peacekeeping officer always carries the heroic tradition of the nation, promotes the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and actively contributes to the peace, stability and development of the international community".
Expressing his admiration and respect for the history of Vietnam, Major General Maychel Asmi - Deputy Commander of MINUSCA Forces - emphasized: "Vietnamese peacekeeping officers are continuing that tradition with dedication and responsibility at MINUSCA".

Major General Nicolae-Gabriel Oros, Commander of the EUTM RCA Forces, was particularly impressed with the modesty and sharing of the Vietnamese soldiers, helping them better understand a friendly, peace-loving Vietnam.
Cultural bridge beat
After the solemn ceremony, a vibrant cultural space was created by Uncle Ho's soldiers. Traditional dishes such as fried spring rolls, pho rolls, lotus sweet soup... are introduced, bringing the hometown's flavor to international friends.
In particular, the Kahoot game about learning about Vietnam is an interesting highlight that attracts the enthusiastic response of all guests. Through questions about history, geography, and culture, friends understand and love a heroic, traditional, dynamic, and integrated Vietnam. The laughter and cheering echoed, creating a close and joyful atmosphere.
Mr. Kuenzang from Bhutan, the winner of the game, shared: "I have learned about Vietnam through books and newspapers, but through today's game, I have learned many interesting things and feel more in love with Vietnam". His sincere words are also the thoughts of members participating in cultural exchanges, contributing to connecting and spreading the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.

Along with cultural activities, the Vietnam Working Group also organized a charity program at an orphanage in Bimbo town. The gifts are books and essential items that are personally sent to children in difficult circumstances. The image of Vietnamese officers showing kindness and sharing leaves many impressions, and is highly appreciated and respected by local people.

The ceremony ended, but the aftermath remained unchanged. For those who are far away from home, this is also a moment for them to feel more clearly the love for their homeland, country and the value of peace. Although they are not allowed to join the crowd on the street, they still feel warm when sharing their national pride together. For them, no matter where they are, the Vietnamese flag will still fly, carrying the spirit of patriotism, peace and friendship to friends around the world.
