On July 21, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc - Deputy Minister of Public Security - and the working delegation attended the 2025 National Day for National Security Protection in Muong Phang commune, Dien Bien province.
Speaking at the festival, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Muong Phang commune have achieved, hoping that the people will continue to pay attention, actively respond and participate in the movement to protect national security.
The Deputy Minister also suggested that Dien Bien Provincial Police focus on paying attention, leading and directing closely so that the movement to protect national security will become increasingly in-depth, substantial and effective, building a solid people's security posture.

Muong Phang commune, Dien Bien province was established on the basis of merging 3 communes of Muong Phang, Na Nhan and Pa Khoang (old Dien Bien Phu city) with a natural area of over 166 km2 and a population of over 16,000 people.
The security and order situation in the area is basically stable, but there are still potential complicated problems, especially crimes and law violations operating with increasingly sophisticated methods; the situation of drug crimes still has many factors and complicated developments.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security awarded Certificates of Merit to the people and cadres of Muong Phang commune; 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of the entire people to protect national security. Dien Bien Provincial Police awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 groups and 20 individuals.
The Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police presented 30 gifts to 30 families of war invalids, martyrs, meritorious people and families in difficult circumstances in Muong Phang commune.
