That is the sharing of Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung at the reception of Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Hanoi, Joseph Vu Van Thien on February 12.

Also attending were Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs Nguyen Hai Trung, Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vu Hoai Bac, leaders of departments and units under the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs and priests of the Hanoi Archbishops' Conference.
Speaking at the reception, Archbishop Joseph Vu Van Thien congratulated and thanked the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs for creating conditions and supporting the Catholic Church in the past time. The Archbishop expressed his belief that issues related to ethnic minorities and religions will continue to be concerned and thoroughly resolved by the government.
Thanking the General Bishop and the Hanoi Archbishops' Delegation for their greetings and Tet wishes, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung wished the Archbishop, dignitaries, priests and parishioners a new year of peace, happiness, and success.
The Minister informed the delegation about the results of the 14th National Party Congress being successfully organized. The Congress affirmed that the ultimate goal of the Party is for the people; the people are both the goal, the subject, and the driving force of development.
Looking back at 2025, the minister emphasized that Vietnam has overcome many difficulties and challenges, maintained stability in all fields, and at the same time becomes a bright spot sought after and learned from by many countries. In particular, the happiness index of Vietnamese people increased by 37 places, from 83rd in 2020 to 46th in 2025, showing the stability of a developing country.

The Minister affirmed that among those common achievements is the companionship of religious people, with many positive contributions to social security work.
In the atmosphere of preparing to welcome Binh Ngo Spring 2026, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that the establishment of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions aims to better perform tasks, including serving the activities of religious organizations, promoting the strength of religious organizations, contributing to building a strong national great unity bloc.
