On May 15, during a working program in Nghe An, General Secretary To Lam and a delegation of senior leaders of the Party and State visited, presented gifts and expressed gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Sau (102 years old), residing in Ben Thuy ward, Vinh city.
Visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mother with the Politburo member: Le Minh Hung - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee; Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Committee of Internal Affairs; Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee; Do Van Chien - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front; General Phan Van Giang - Minister of Defense; General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security.

On the side of Nghe An province, there are comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
General Secretary To Lam kindly visited the health of Mother Le Thi Sau, expressing his emotion and deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of Mother and her family in the revolutionary cause.
Sau's mother has 3 sons, of which 2 are martyrs: Le Huy Minh died at Quang Tri ancient citadel in 1972 as the Captain of the 146-th Regiment; Le Huy Truong died in 1965 while rescuing wounded soldiers at Ben Thuy port. The youngest child Le Huy Thang passed away at the end of 2024.
Me Sau's husband, Mr. Le Huy Chinh - who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, is a party member awarded the 30-year Party membership badge. Currently, mother Sau lives with her daughter-in-law Nguyen Thi Hue; her grandson Le Huy Nghia is the Chief of Staff of the Hue City Military Command.
Giving gifts to her mother, General Secretary To Lam hoped that she would always be healthy, happy, continue to be a spiritual support and inspire her children to follow the example, promote the revolutionary family tradition, worthy of the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers. The General Secretary emphasized that the Party, State and authorities at all levels have a special responsibility in taking care of the material and spiritual life of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and those who have contributed to the revolution.
Moved by the attention of the leaders of the Party and State, Mother Le Thi Sau sent her sincere thanks, wishing the General Secretary and comrades in the working group good health, continuing to lead the country to increasingly develop and prosper.
Heroic Vietnamese Mother Le Thi Sau expressed her emotions and deep gratitude for the attention and care of the Party and State for her life; at the same time, she thanked General Secretary To Lam for visiting, giving gifts and wishing her good health.
