On May 10, information from Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Thac Ba Commune Police had just coordinated to return property to a resident who dropped a wallet in the area.
Previously, at about 7:15 pm on May 9, Ms. Lo Thi Toat (born 1988, residing in Lang May village, Thac Ba commune, Lao Cai province) posted information on Facebook about picking up a wallet containing personal papers in the name of Mr. Phung Van Chan (born 1962, residing in Ho Sen village, Thac Ba commune) along with 2.7 million VND in cash.

After receiving information, Thac Ba Commune Police quickly conducted verification and contacted the person who dropped the property. Through verification, functional forces determined that Mr. Phung Van Chan was the owner of the wallet mentioned above.
The commune police then invited relevant parties to the headquarters to proceed with fully returning the property to Mr. Chan. Receiving the lost property back, Mr. Chan expressed his joy and thanked Ms. Lo Thi Toat and the local police force for their timely support.
According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, Ms. Lo Thi Toat's honest and responsible action is a beautiful gesture, contributing to spreading positive values in the community. Thac Ba Commune Police praised and recognized her example of "good people, good deeds".
