As part of the series of activities of the Tran Temple Festival (in Long Hung commune, Hung Yen province) in 2026, on March 2nd (ie, the 14th day of the first lunar month), the Festival Organizing Committee organized a fish feast contest with the participation of 8 villages in Long Hung commune.
The fish feast contest is a unique spiritual ritual, expressing the sincerity of the local people towards the ancestors of the Tran Dynasty, associated with the tradition of riverine residents in the ancient Long Hung region - the origin of the Tran Dynasty.

According to the Organizing Committee, to prepare for the contest, the villages selected three types of fish including black carp, carp and threadfin fish, each weighing from 3 kg to 7 kg. When processing, the fish are all shaped naturally as if they are swimming, showing the dexterity and sophistication of the performer.
Present at Tran Temple and directly watching the fish feast, Ms. Pham Ngoc Mai (Ninh Binh tourist) said: "This is the first time I have seen the fish feast competition at the festival with my own eyes. I am really impressed because the feasts are not only rich in dishes but also decorated very elaborately and beautifully. Each feast is like an artwork, showing the ingenuity and dedication of the maker.
