The low pressure area over the Indian Ocean is likely to strengthen rapidly, tourists need to monitor weather developments when planning their travel.

Depression Invest 99S is currently operating in the southwest Indian Ocean and is assessed to have a high probability of developing into a tropical storm in the next 24 hours.

The maximum sustained wind near the center of the system reaches about 45-50 km/h, gusting 65km/h, showing that the system is in an intensifying phase.

Environmental conditions are assessed to be favorable for the low pressure to strengthen, including low wind shear, good airflow at high altitudes and warm sea surface temperatures, fluctuating around 29-30 degrees Celsius.

Global and complex forecast models agree that the low pressure will develop rapidly and move stably southwest in the next 24 hours.

New storm and low pressure forecast information from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) shows that it is necessary to continue to closely monitor the developments of Invest 99S, especially for tourists planning to move through the Indian Ocean in the coming days, in order to proactively adjust their schedules and ensure safety.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the sea weather on April 2nd is generally favorable for tourism, most areas have little rain, good visibility, and waves are not too high.

The North and South of the Gulf of Tonkin to the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have light rain in some places, southeast to south wind level 4-5, waves 1.5-2.5m high, sea at an average level.

The sea areas from Gia Lai to Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang and the central to southern East Sea area, including the Truong Sa special zone and the Gulf of Thailand, have rainless weather, visibility over 10km, light wind, low waves of 0.5-1.5m, favorable for sea tourism and outdoor activities.

Especially the North East Sea area has southeast to south wind level 4, waves 2.0-3.0m high, tourists need to pay attention when participating in offshore trips. In general, sea weather conditions across the country are quite favorable, but detailed forecasts should still be followed to ensure safety.
