According to storm news, the latest low pressure from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), Typhoon Fausto has officially formed in the Pacific Ocean.
As of the morning of July 20, the storm's center was located in the eastern Pacific region. The strongest wind near the storm's center reached 65 km/h.
Storm Fausto is moving in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 20 km/h. In the next few days, the storm is forecast to continue in this direction under the impact of a subtropical high pressure area.
The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) predicts that the storm is likely to strengthen rapidly in the next 24-48 hours, even the process of strengthening may take place sooner if the storm's internal structure continues to be strengthened.
Not far from there, Typhoon Elida has begun to weaken at sea. Currently, the strongest sustained wind of the typhoon is about 95 km/h.
Storm Elida is moving in the North - Northwest direction at a speed of about 15 km/h and is forecast to gradually shift to the North, while accelerating in the next 1-2 days.
In the coming days, Typhoon Elida will continue to weaken as it enters sea areas with temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius, combined with increased vertical gusts and dry air intrusion.
It is forecast that Elida will weaken into a remnant low pressure area on July 21 (local time) and completely dissipate by the end of July 22.
