Weather forecast for today, July 4, thunderstorms continue across the country. At sea, the low pressure will enter the East Sea, likely to strengthen into a tropical depression.

According to the new weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF), today, July 4, the North will have scattered thunderstorms of about 10-30mm, some places over 80mm. Thunderstorms will be concentrated in the evening, night and morning.

Gia Lai to Lam Dong will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, with some places having heavy rain; in the East, the area from Khanh Hoa to Lam Dong will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

The South has scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.

People and tourists need to proactively prevent dangerous weather phenomena, limit travel in heavy rain with thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, and gusts of wind. Beware of the risk of landslides, flash floods on shocking slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

At sea, the tropical convergence zone has an axis passing through the North of the East Sea, connecting with a low pressure area causing showers and thunderstorms in many areas from the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, the North, Central and South East Sea (including Hoang Sa and Truong Sa specialties).

Sea weather forecast for the above areas and the sea area from Ca Mau to An Giang, the Gulf of Thailand continues to have thunderstorms. Strong gusts of wind at level 6-7, waves over 2m high.

According to the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), the low pressure has an average probability of forming a tropical depression in the next 24 hours. Maximum winds near the center of the depression are estimated at about 35-45 km/h.

However, models predict uncertainty about the direction of the depression in the next two days, the trajectory is quite unstable and slow.

In the next 24 hours, the low pressure will move slowly in the West Northwest direction and is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression, according to NCHMF.
