From October 20, the cold air will strengthen, expanding to affect the North Central region, then spreading to the Northwest and Central Central regions.
From the night of October 20, the weather in the North and Thanh Hoa will be cold at night and in the morning, and the mountainous areas will be cold.
The wind will shift to the Northeast at level 2-3, and the coastal areas at level 3-4.
The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is in the plains, Thanh Hoa, about 19-21°C.

Due to the impact of cold air combined with the circulation of storm No. 12 Fengshen, the North East Sea area has strong Northeast winds of level 6, gusting to 7-8, rough seas.
On the night of October 19 to 20, the weather forecast for the Northeast is that the temperature will be around 21-24°C, in high mountainous areas below 20°C; average 25-27°C, in mountainous areas below 25°C.
On the night of October 20 to 21, the Northeast and Thanh Hoa will have the coldest temperature of 19-21°C, high mountainous areas below 18°C; average 23-25°C, mountainous areas below 21°C.
Storm No. 12 Fengshen has entered the eastern sea area of the North East Sea, becoming the 12th storm of 2025.
It is forecasted that by October 20, storm No. 12 will move northwest at 20-25 km/h, in the North East Sea, about 380 km from Hoang Sa to the East Northeast; strong at level 10, gusting to level 12.
Cold air combined with high-altitude easterly wind disturbances will cause moderate to heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain in the area from Nghe An to Quang Ngai on the night of October; from October 20, there will continue to be rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain.
People and tourists should be on guard against heavy rain accompanied by the risk of flooding in low-lying areas, flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas; in urban areas and industrial parks, there may be local flooding.
