The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (May 31) in regions across the country.
In the late afternoon of May 30, convective clouds continued to develop strongly, causing showers and thunderstorms in wards and communes that had previously experienced rain, then tending to spread to many other areas in Hanoi. People need to be wary of accompanying extreme weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
The meteorological agency also warned that on the evening of May 30, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh and Lam Dong provinces are at risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, along with landslides and subsidence in hilly and steep areas.
Regarding weather developments across the country, the Northern region and from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and night, sunny during the day, and locally hot sunshine.
In the South and Lam Dong province, moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms continue to be maintained, some places may experience very heavy rain. From June 1, this area will still have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
The remaining areas across the country will experience showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially in the afternoon and evening, there is a possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places. During thunderstorms, the risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind is still high.

Northwest
Lowest temperature: 21-24 degrees C, in some places below 21 degrees C.

Cloudy, showers and thunderstorms in some places at night. Daytime clouds decrease, sunny weather, locally hot sun in some places. Light wind. Risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.
Northeast
Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees C, mountainous areas in some places below 24 degrees C.
Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees C, in some places above 35 degrees C.
Cloudy, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. Sunny during the day, hot sun in some places appears. Light wind. Need to be wary of extreme weather phenomena during thunderstorms.
Thanh Hoa to Hue
Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees C.

South Central Coast
