Accordingly, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the parade passed through the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, with the participation of more than 1,000 people including artisans from Trach Xa craft village; Vietnamese costume festival project group "Bach Hoa Bo Hanh"; Hoan Kiem ward; Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club of Hanoi city.

The parade was brilliant with traditional colors of all kinds of costumes from five-panel ao dai, four-panel shirt, traditional costume, modern ao dai, creating a cultural space imbued with national identity, attracting a large number of people and international tourists to admire.

Ann Fitzroy, a three-week Northern Irish tourist to Vietnam, said that experiencing the Ao Dai Festival in Hanoi for the first time made her overwhelmed because it was so beautiful and lively. She especially loves the diversity and richness of brightly colored ao dai designs.

She shared that she was very impressed with the energetic but gentle and comfortable festive atmosphere. At the same time, the female tourist was very excited to see with her own eyes the traditional ao dai with full design styles imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity.
If I had the chance, I really wanted to wear Ao Dai once in my life. In my hometown, traditional costumes are more like for dancers, said Ann Fitzroy.

The 2025 Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism parade is the closing activity of the vibrant days of the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival with extremely rich and meaningful activities, attracting the active response of the community and high spread in society.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Tran Quang said that the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival 2025 with the theme Hanoi Ao Dai - shining the quintessence of heritage took place from November 6 to 9 at Hanoi Museum and the Ao Dai parade on November 15 in the area around Hoan Kiem Lake.
The Ao Dai parade program is the largest ever. The event not only honors Ao Dai as an intangible cultural heritage of Vietnam but also contributes to affirming Hanoi as a cultural - creative destination, a heritage that is "breathed" in contemporary life and aims to build Ao Dai into a typical tourism product of the capital.
Through this program, the Capital's tourism industry hopes to arouse national pride and the love of Ao Dai to the people and tourists. At the same time, promoting the image of Hanoi tourism while preserving Vietnamese cultural identity and actively integrating into the international culture in the new era.
