Ms. Huynh Thi Hoai Thu - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports - Tourism of Dong Thap Province said that in order to better restore the needs of playing and relaxation of tourists inside and outside the province on the occasion of April 30, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, 98 agricultural tourist destinations and community tourism in the area increased at full capacity.
This is considered an achievement with the active support of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Recognizing that during this year's April 30 holiday, cadres, workers, laborers and people have long days off, the Department has proactively issued an official dispatch directing units to coordinate in urging and supporting tourism establishments to build and introduce tourism programs... From that basis, tourism service units have made full preparations.
According to Ms. Thu, the highlight of Dong Thap tourism in recent times is the expansion of destinations towards the border. In addition to famous destinations such as: Sa Dec Flower Village, Go Thap, Xeo Quyt, Gao Giong, Tram Chim... there are many tourist destinations in localities in the border area. The scale and diversity of tourist areas and destinations may be different, but all are aimed at the common point of increasing many types of services and operating capacity.
For more than a month now, the owners of the facilities have been renovating and carefully preparing the best possible conditions. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung - owner of Happy Land Hung Thy Tourist Area (Sa Dec Flower Village - Sa Dec City) said that in addition to increasing many types of flowers, there are also additional trees, such as: coconut, squash, pumpkin, squash and a lot of lotus - a typical flower of Dong Thap.
In addition, the tourist area launched a new game: artificial rain, contributing to diversifying the stadium with 12 previous folk games. In particular, there are many uniquely designed bridges here, such as overpasses, S-shaped bridges... for visitors to capture meaningful souvenir images.
Tourists coming to Dong Thap during the holiday can also have many activities to experience: rowing a boat to pick lotus, grilling freshwater fish, and unloading dates and mice. In particular, enjoy many specialties with a strong rustic flavor, such as: grilled mice, with grilled snakehead fish, and dozens of dishes made from many parts of lotus trees.
Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy unique fruits, such as: star apple eaten with the skin, coconut eaten with the skin; or experience agricultural activities: planting, branching, growing fruit trees; shopping for specialties...
During the April 30, 2024 holiday, the total number of visitors to visit and experience relics, sightseeing spots, communities, fruit gardens, entertainment areas and accommodation facilities in Dong Thap province is 135,262 people with a total revenue of 33.228 billion VND.
