On September 16, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province plans to organize the 233rd death anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung (1792 - 2025), taking place on September 19 and 20 (28 - 29 of the 7th lunar month) at many relics associated with the Tay Son movement: An Khe Truong (An Khe ward), Kinh Thien Dai (Binh Phu commune), Tay Son Tam Kiet Temple (under Quang Trung Museum, Tay Son commune).
The death anniversary was to commemorate and express gratitude for the great contributions of the National Hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue; review the heroic tradition of the Tay Son peasant movement and the fighting spirit of the Emperor in the cause of building and defending the country.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity to educate the tradition of patriotism and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, building a cultural and festival space, preserving and promoting the value of relics associated with cultural, artistic and sports activities, attracting tourists.
Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue (1753 - 1792) spent the entire 21 years (from 1771 - 1792) dedicating his talent, intelligence and determination to the cause of fighting for the interests of the people, for national independence.
He was an outstanding leader of the Tay Son movement, leading the movement to overcome countless challenges, reaching the peak of development, becoming a great national hero, with great contributions in the cause of national reunification and defense of independence.
As a military genius, Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue have fought all their lives, winning all, never losing. His military art is outstanding for its fierce attack spirit, "speedy, surprising" playing style, promoting the fighting power of farmers combined with patriotism.
