According to the An Giang Tourism Association, it is currently the peak season for international tourists to visit and relax in Phu Quoc. Many tourists have long vacations to celebrate major holidays such as Christmas and welcome the New Year 2026 on Ngoc Island. Not only international tourists but also domestic tourists are increasing significantly, hotels in Phu Quoc are almost fully booked.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Khac Huy - Chairman of An Giang Tourism Association said that this year can be said to be a breakthrough year at the end of the year in many international tourist markets. Businesses are urgently preparing for personnel training to serve Tet, creating new products with incentives, investing in many diverse services, large-scale programs, fireworks programs, street festivals, countdown parties...
The Tourism Association also shared with members the directing documents from the Provincial Department of Tourism as well as the special zone on food safety, product quality, service prices... when there is an increase in the number of visitors, prices and quality are still maintained stably.
In addition, towards APEC 2027, businesses also focus on investing in training human resources to learn foreign languages, international service skills, learn international culture, and create many products to serve the coming international visitors," Mr. Huy shared.
Faced with the current high number of tourists, Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee has also proactively and promptly issued operating documents and guidelines.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan - Vice Chairwoman of Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee said that Phu Quoc is gradually affirming its position as an important destination on the regional and international tourism map, especially in the context of Vietnam hosting important activities and events towards APEC 2027.
In that process, the business community and tourism service business establishments play an extremely important role, directly creating the image, service quality and experience of tourists, contributing decisively to the reputation, competitiveness and sustainable development of Phu Quoc tourism.

Ms. Loan said that with the goal of building Phu Quoc into a safe - friendly - civilized - quality destination, while maintaining the reputation of the local tourism brand, Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee proposes and encourages businesses to strictly implement the public and transparent listing of ticket prices and service prices (if there are fees), ensuring clarity and ease of recognition for tourists before using services. Proactively review the form of service ticket collection at the gate, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, without causing misunderstanding or frustration for tourists.
Improving service quality, civilized and polite attitudes, taking tourist satisfaction as a measure of business efficiency. Maintaining the reputation and image of businesses, contributing to building a healthy and sustainable tourism environment during the peak tourist season and the following years," Ms. Loan informed.

In 2025, Phu Quoc is estimated to welcome more than 8.1 million visitors, of which international visitors are more than 1.8 million, with total revenue of nearly 44,000 billion VND. In 2026, An Giang province's tourism industry aims to welcome 25 million tourists, including 2.1 million international visitors, with total revenue reaching more than 70,000 billion VND. In particular, focus on preparing conditions to coordinate the hosting of the APEC 2027 Conference in Phu Quoc.
