Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that it has requested departments, branches, and localities to strengthen coordination in managing and handling cases related to foreigners residing and operating in the province, in order to ensure security and social safety.
According to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police are assigned to take the lead in strengthening the control of entry and exit and residence; promptly detect cases with unusual signs, and strictly handle violations according to regulations.
At the same time, develop procedures for receiving, verifying and deporting violating cases, and coordinate to notify relevant diplomatic missions.
Local police are also requested to proactively support cases of foreigners facing health and financial difficulties; take them to care and treatment facilities while waiting for verification and completion of procedures to return to the country according to regulations.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to direct accommodation establishments and travel businesses to strictly implement temporary residence declaration for foreign tourists.
Promptly notify functional agencies when detecting passengers losing papers, or showing signs of abnormally leaving their accommodation.
At the same time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to deploy a hotline to support tourists; mobilize and encourage tourism businesses to support accommodation, treatment and air tickets for foreign tourists traveling freely who encounter problems and financial difficulties.
According to statistics, in 2025, Khanh Hoa is estimated to welcome about 5.5 million international visitors. By the fourth quarter of 2025, the whole province will have about 55,000 foreigners temporarily residing, mainly those participating in economic investment and business in the tourism and service sectors.
Currently, the whole province has over 1,400 tourist accommodation establishments with more than 70,500 rooms, including 107 3- to 5-star accommodation establishments, with 28,296 rooms.
