According to the Tourism Development Strategy for the period 2026 - 2030, orientation to 2045; by 2030, Khanh Hoa aims to attract 33 million visitors. Of which, international visitors account for about 40-45%. Total revenue from tourism is expected to reach 9 billion USD, contributing about 20% of the province's GRDP.
The average length of stay of tourists is expected to reach 4-5 days, with spending increasing 1.5-2 times compared to 2025.
Along with that, the province strives to have 100,000 accommodation rooms, of which 75% meet 3-5 star standards, and at the same time create jobs for more than 300,000 direct and indirect workers in the tourism and related service industries.
Regarding the vision to 2045, Khanh Hoa aims to become a leading sea tourism destination in Asia, strongly developing high-value tourism products, making great contributions to the service economic structure.

Long-term targets will continue to be completed based on practical data in the period 2026 - 2030, to ensure sustainable maintenance of double-digit growth rates.
The strategy identifies 6 key strategic groups, including: Elevating destinations; building brands; strengthening connectivity - access; enhancing tourist experiences; ensuring financial resources; and strengthening smart governance.
From there, the consulting unit proposed 36 key tasks, focusing on perfecting institutions; upgrading infrastructure; developing products and promoting advertising; market diversification; improving the quality of human resources; and attracting investment.
Notably, the Strategy emphasizes new pillars such as digital transformation, night economy, green transformation, along with the development of symbolic tourism products associated with local culture and heritage such as bird's nests, agarwood, Cham culture and the Kate Festival, in order to create a unique identity for Khanh Hoa destination.
The top priority is to form unique tourism products with international imprints, strong enough to lead and position the destination brand.
Famous bays such as Van Phong, Nha Trang, Cam Ranh and Vinh Hy are identified as centers for developing high-class sea resorts, entertainment, sea sports tourism and cruise tourism.
Another important highlight of the Strategy is expanding transport connectivity. Khanh Hoa will strongly develop international routes, expand Cam Ranh International Airport, build Van Phong Airport and convert Thanh Son Airport into a dual-use airport.
According to Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the locality is committed to directing drastically and synchronously; soon issue a Plan to implement the Strategy; clearly assign responsibilities; strengthen inter-sectoral and inter-regional coordination; create a transparent and open investment environment; accompany the business community and strategic investors in the process of organizing and implementing the Strategy.
On the afternoon of February 6, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee just held a ceremony to announce the Tourism Development Strategy for the period 2026 - 2030, with orientations to 2045, in order to concretize Resolution 01-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on the goal of double-digit economic growth. In which, tourism is identified as a key economic sector of the locality.
