On March 17, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Luu Ba Mac - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province - said that after the process of inspection, working and reviewing dossiers, the inter-sectoral inspection team of the province has agreed to handle violations against a number of accommodation establishments in the area.
Through working with 3 units including Dai Viet LS Trading Co., Ltd. (Hoang Son Hai Hotel), Phu Quy Joint Stock Company (Phu Quy Hotel) and Vinpearl Joint Stock Company Lang Son branch (Four Points by Sheraton Lang Son Hotel) to clarify the contents related to compliance with legal regulations in tourism accommodation service business activities.

Based on documents, records and explanations of the units, the inspection team agreed on specific handling forms for each case.
In which, Dai Viet LS Trading Co., Ltd. was handled for violations and suspended from tourism accommodation service business for a period of 2 months.
Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, Lang Son branch, was administratively sanctioned for not publicly listing prices as prescribed.
Phu Quy Joint Stock Company was administratively sanctioned for the act of selling goods and services at prices not in accordance with the listed prices in tourist accommodation establishments.

Previously, an inter-sectoral inspection team led by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism inspected a number of accommodation establishments in the area.
At Four Points by Sheraton Lang Son hotel, the price listing was not publicly posted at the time of inspection. In particular, the room rates on March 14, i.e., January 26, showed signs of being higher than on March 13, i.e., January 25.
Meanwhile, Hoang Son Hai Hotel is recorded to have many shortcomings and violations.
Specifically, although the decision recognizing this facility's 2-star hotel expired in May 2025, the unit still hung a star rating advertising sign. The facility has also changed the person legally responsible but did not notify the competent authorities.

In addition, this hotel did not list prices according to regulations. At the time of inspection, the establishment also could not present a business registration certificate, a certificate of eligibility for fire prevention and fighting, and a certificate of eligibility for security and order for the type of accommodation service business.
From the above violations, the inspection team requested Hoang Son Hai Hotel to stop operating accommodation business from 8:30 PM on March 11, 2026.
According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province, this inspection and handling is not only aimed at rectifying violations at each specific establishment but also a step to tighten discipline in tourism accommodation activities in the locality, especially at a sensitive time when the number of visitors increases sharply and service prices easily fluctuate.
The inspection team also requested relevant units to urgently complete dossiers and fully supplement the conditions for operating accommodation services according to legal regulations.
