The strongest wind speed reaches level 9 (75-88km/h), gusting to level 11.
The storm is moving west-southwest at a speed of 15-20km/h.
Due to the impact of storm No. 3 Wipha, to ensure the safety of passengers and crew, airlines in Vietnam have adjusted the operating plan for some flights.
Vietnam Airlines canceled flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong including VN1188, VN7188, VN7189, VN7056, VN7057.
Flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao, including VN1856, and VN1857, were canceled on July 21.
According to the latest update at 11:50, Vietjet announced the cancellation of 21 flights. Flights temporarily suspended today include VJ232 and VJ233 between Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don; VJ724, VJ723, VJ722 and VJ721 flights between Da Nang - Hai Phong.
Flights VJ732, VJ731, VJ734, VJ733 between Nha Trang - Hai Phong; VJ766 between Phu Quoc - Hai Phong; VJ963, VJ962 between Hai Phong - Da Lat; VJ926, VJ925 between Hai Phong - Seoul were all canceled.
In particular, the flight between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong had 6 canceled flights including VJ1284, VJ1285, VJ1278, VJ1275, VJ290 and VJ291.
On July 22, Vietnam Airlines flights operating at Cat Bi airport will depart after 12:00.
In addition, many domestic and international flights on July 21-22 may also be affected by Typhoon No. 3 Wipha.
Previously, in China, Hong Kong and Macau airports delayed the cancellation of at least 600 flights as Typhoon Wipha approached the mainland, affecting about 100,000 passengers.
