On March 24, Vung Tau Ward People's Committee (HCMC) said that the Hai Dang mountain climbing festival and launching the 2026 Olympic Run for All People's Health Day in the ward is expected to take place on the morning of March 28, in Bai Truoc park area.
This is a practical activity in response to the Campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho", and also to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Physical Education and Sports (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2026) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
The festival is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants, including officials, civil servants, armed forces, youth union members, students, workers, representatives of businesses and a large number of people and tourists present in the area. The event is expected to create a vibrant atmosphere and spread the spirit of physical training and sports in the community.
Participants in the festival will simultaneously start at Bai Truoc park area, walk along the 5km distance through Quang Trung - Ha Long - Hai Dang routes and end at the Hai Dang peak on Tao Phung mountain peak (Nho mountain).
Currently, the organization work is being coordinated and actively implemented by functional units to ensure the festival is successful. Thereby contributing to raising people's awareness of the role of physical training, and at the same time, towards building a healthy lifestyle, improving the quality of life, and consolidating the spirit of community solidarity.
