Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Official Letter No. 8358/UBND-VX on strengthening state management of foreign workers in the tourism sector.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Departments of Home Affairs, Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Police and the People's Committees of localities to strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of legal regulations for foreign workers. Cases of working without a license and operating for purposes other than entry will be strictly handled.
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the task of disseminating and popularizing legal regulations on foreign labor, especially the 2019 Labor Code and Decree 219/2025/ND-CP, in appropriate and practical forms. At the same time, review and evaluate the coordination of foreign labor management in the area to clearly identify the responsibilities of each relevant agency.
Regarding the need to use foreign labor, the province emphasized that it only grants licenses to management positions, executive directors, experts, and technical workers in the tourism sector that Vietnamese workers have not yet met, based on complete records as prescribed.
Relevant units are responsible for synthesizing difficulties and problems in the implementation process and promptly reporting and proposing to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.
