On August 13, the People's Committee of Mang Den commune, Quang Ngai province said that the unit is making efforts to expand the area of growing cold-pressed coffee trees under the forest canopy, connecting businesses to invest according to the value chain.
Not only attractive for tourism, fresh climate at an altitude of more than 1,200m, Mang Den has many potentials and advantages to develop cold-pressed coffee.
Currently, the whole commune has 672 hectares of cold-climate coffee, reaching more than 90% of the plan. In 2025, the commune was assigned to plant 740 hectares; in the first 8 months of the year alone, 150 hectares were newly planted.
The Commune People's Committee has coordinated to provide seeds to 151 households participating in the "Cofficial Village Production Development Support Project" and the "Valuation Chain Production Support Project" under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, with 122,580 trees.

In addition, 7 households in Kon Chemh village were supported with 10,000 trees. People in the villages continue to sow and take care of the planted area, ensuring good growth.
Currently, the commune has 225 hectares of cold-pressed coffee for harvest, with an output of 878.9 tons. Mang Den's cold-pressed coffee products have been granted a Trade Union Registration Certificate No. 383666 by the Department of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology): Kon Tum Cold-pressed Coffee - ARABICA COFFEE.
Many companies, cooperatives, and traders are purchasing to supply the processing market.
Mr. Pham Van Thang - Chairman of Mang Den Commune People's Committee said that in the coming time, the government will propagate and mobilize people to convert ineffective noodle growing areas to growing cold-climate coffee.
