At the workshop, the Department of Tourism, the National Data Association and Sun Group officially announced the launch of the Vietnam national tourism data platform called Visit Vietnam.
This will be a platform for integrating information, assessment of destinations and tourism booking tools in Vietnam, considered a strategic step forward for digital tourism.
At the workshop, representatives of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the National Data Association (NDA), strategic partners such as Sun Group, Visa, Mastercard, Trip.com... signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in developing the national tourism data platform Visit Vietnam.
This platform plays a central role in connecting data between management agencies, businesses and tourists, thereby forming a transparent, smart and safe tourism ecosystem.
Accordingly, the National Data Association (NDA) is the unit issuing the project's policies and legal framework, and is also the project certification agency. Sun Group is the unit that develops and operates the technology platform.
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism supports communication and promotion of initiatives on national channels, while introducing and attracting the community of tourism businesses to participate in the project. The platform's data will be mainly contributed by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the tourism business community and tourists.
The highlight of Visit Vietnam is its ability to integrate advanced technologies. The AI Travel Assistant virtual tourism assistant system can plan and book automatic services for tourists. The NDAchain.vn platform helps decentralized authentication, ensuring the reliability and transparency of information.
Services are deeply integrated, from transportation, accommodation, cuisine to nationwide loyal customer programs. In addition, along with Blockchain technology and Tokenization security, all data on the platform will be verified and protected most strictly.
Originating in the context of Vietnam's tourism lacking a centralized data management and exploitation system, "Visit Vietnam" is expected to overcome the situation of dispersed information, lack of linkage and hardness of access. This platform will help tourists easily search, book services, explore local culture; help businesses grasp trends, design personalized products; and support management agencies in making policies based on real-time data.
Visit Vietnam's development roadmap is divided into clear strategic milestones. In October 2025, the project will launch the National Data Platform, launch the National dashboard 1.0 for the Government, and operate the Program Announcement Portal.
It is expected that by the second quarter of 2026, the platform will launch to the public, focusing on building trust and providing journey planning tools, including an authentication system via the national blockchain platform and trip planning features.
APEC 2027 will be a milestone demonstrating the international stature of Visit Vietnam, with a direct service booking system, AI-powered scheduling suggestions and launch of a data platform as a service (DaaS) for businesses. After 2027, the long-term goal is to become a comprehensive tourism "super app", allowing one-touch booking, integrating multiple means and contributing to leading the Vietnamese tourism market to the world.
