To celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), Duc Thanh School and Binh Thuan Ho Chi Minh Museum in Phan Thiet ward, Lam Dong province welcomed many delegations to visit, offer incense and learn about his life and career.

From early morning on May 19 to the afternoon of the same day, the Duc Thanh Relic Site welcomed thousands of tourists and people to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.
The space of the old school by the Ca Ty River became solemn but full of emotion on Uncle Ho's birthday.

Many delegations organized reports, political activities and incense offerings at the relic site. Among the crowd visiting the school were veterans who quietly lit incense to commemorate Uncle Ho.

Duc Thanh School is where teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh stopped to teach before leaving to find a way to save the country.
According to historical documents preserved at the relic site, in September 1910, young Nguyen Tat Thanh came to Phan Thiet to teach at Duc Thanh School when he had just turned 20 years old.

The time he lived and taught in Phan Thiet is considered an important period in his journey to find a way to save the country.
Here, Teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh both taught, studied books and newspapers, and learned about the progressive ideas of humanity to prepare for the future historical journey.
To this day, many artifacts associated with the time He lived and taught are still carefully preserved such as Ngoa du sao, Nha Ngu, set of lecturers... in the school grounds.

In particular, the star fruit tree in the schoolyard that was once cared for by teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh is still green and lush, bearing fruit all year round.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Toan, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that what moved him the most was the simplicity of the space where Uncle Ho used to live and work. On Uncle Ho's birthday, returning to the place where he used to teach before leaving to find a way to save the country made the visit even more meaningful.
Through each artifact and story preserved, I feel more clearly about the bright personality, the simple but great life of President Ho Chi Minh," Mr. Toan shared.

The increased number of visitors makes the reception and service work at the relic site more busy than usual.
However, the staff of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Binh Thuan still made efforts to prepare thoroughly the conditions to serve people and tourists.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nga - Head of Professional - Interpretation Department, Binh Thuan Ho Chi Minh Museum said that on the occasion of the anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the number of visitors increased sharply, although the work is more hard, museum officials and staff all feel happy and proud that more and more people are coming here to commemorate Uncle Ho.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Binh Thuan also organized a thematic exhibition "Beside us, there is Uncle Ho" with 100 precious documentary photos about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh and an exchange program.
From the beginning of 2026 to May 19, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Binh Thuan is estimated to welcome about 850 delegations with more than 55,200 visitors. Among them, there are 237 international visitors from many countries such as England, Korea, Germany, Russia, Switzerland...
