On May 16, according to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, the contractor is focusing on compacting the base layer of Le Duan road extending the middle section of the route with a length of 260m to asphalt, completing the project.
Mr. Nguyen Danh Phong - Deputy Director of the Project Management Board for Investment in Construction of Transport Works and Urban Development of Ha Tinh province said that the Le Duan extended road project after a long period of delay due to site clearance problems, after completing the handover of 100% of the site, the contractor is currently focusing on construction to complete the project.
According to Mr. Phong, the construction is expected to be completed by the end of May 2026 to hand over and put into operation to ensure convenient traffic for vehicles.

The Le Duan extended road project has a length of 1.3km, connecting to Nguyen Xi road on the north, and connecting to Provincial Road 17 (Nguyen Hoanh Tu road) on the south.
This project was approved for investment policy in 2016 and started construction from 2018 with a total investment of 135 billion VND invested by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh city (old) as the investor.
After removing the district level, currently, the project is invested by the Project Management Board for Investment in Construction of Transport Works and Urban Development of Ha Tinh province.
According to the design, the road is 26m wide, with synchronous construction infrastructure. The project has 95 households in Thanh Sen ward (old Ha Huy Tap ward) and 6 households in Ha Huy Tap ward (old Dai Nai ward) whose residential land and agricultural land are recovered.
According to the initial project approval decision, the implementation progress is in the period from 2017 - 2020.
However, due to problems in site clearance, the project was delayed, and then had to be extended many times. By August 2022, the project was adjusted to increase the total project value to 157 billion VND.
After that, the 2nd extension is until December 31, 2023; the 3rd extension is until December 2024. However, after the extension period expires, the project is still facing site clearance issues with a length of 260m affecting land and houses of 7 households.
By November 2025, site clearance work will be completed and 100% of the site has been handed over to the construction unit.

Mr. Tran Duc Tung (35 years old, residing in Ha Huy Tap ward, Ha Tinh province) shared: "The Le Duan extended road project is about to be completed, as a local resident, I am very happy because it will be convenient for travel as well as urban development, services and increase land value in this area.
