Busy making money, many people lack time for their families
Increasingly stressful work makes many people spend most of their time on work, while chatting, caring for and taking care of the family is constantly delayed. When this situation lasts, the distance between family members also easily widens.
Ms. Minh Anh (32 years old, Hanoi), working in the media field, said that busy work makes her have to bring work home to continue many days.
There are days when I get home almost at 9 pm, my child is already asleep. Weekends should be for family, but if there is urgent work, I still have to turn on the computer to work. Many times I know my husband and children need me, but I really don't have much time and energy left," Ms. Minh Anh shared.
According to Ms. Minh Anh, the thing that makes her most worried is that conversations with her husband are becoming less and less frequent. The two still live in the same house but mainly exchange necessary things such as children, eating, and living.
Similarly, Mr. Hoang Nam (35 years old, Hanoi) said that once, work occupied almost the entire time fund.
There are days when I only have time to ask my wife and children a few questions and then return to work. I think I work a lot to take care of my family, but later I realize that money cannot completely replace the presence," Mr. Nam shared.
According to Mr. Nam, when relatives constantly have to wait for attention, they may gradually develop a feeling that they are no longer prioritized.
The line between being busy and neglecting family
According to psychologist Mai Viet Duc (Nhan Hoa Viet Psychological Counseling and Therapy Center), it is necessary to distinguish between a busy period due to work and a person who truly neglects the responsibility and emotions of their partner.
Busy often has a limit and even if there is little time, the person still tries to maintain a connection with the family. They may not spend many hours together but still actively ask, share, arrange time and show their loved ones that they care.
''Conversely, neglect is when work is always put first, while the emotions and needs of your partner are constantly delayed,'' the psychologist said.

If one person often says "later", "we'll calculate when it's done", while the other person is increasingly feeling lonely and not being listened to, then the problem is no longer simply in the work schedule but related to priorities.
Experts believe that the important thing is not always to spend a lot of time with family, but to create quality time and real presence.
A short but focused conversation, a meal without a phone, or proactively asking your partner how they feel today can also help maintain connection," the psychologist said.
Besides, busy people also need to actively discuss with their families about the peak work period, instead of letting relatives speculate that they are no longer important.
When work becomes the reason for every rejection, and taking care of family emotions is always pushed to the bottom of the list, that is when everyone needs to review how they are allocating time and priorities.
