In recent days, public opinion has paid special attention to the incident of a man showing off his tattoo and assaulting a woman in the lobby of Sky Central apartment building (176 Dinh Cong, Hanoi). On August 10, Hanoi City Police temporarily detained Dang Chi Thanh.
The incident raised concerns about conflicts and behavior in community life in apartment buildings. This is a collective living environment, where residents communicate every day. When conflicts are not contained and resolved by violence, the consequences are not only physical and mental damage but also affect security, order and the general atmosphere.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper at Sky Central apartment building after the incident, many residents were worried. Many people affirmed that there has never been a serious conflict here before, and all minor problems have been resolved by gentle exchanges.
The residents here did not agree with Dang Chi Thanh's behavior. The incident has changed the peaceful pace of life in previous apartments, and at the same time can change the perspective of many people on life in apartments in general.
Mr. Quang (33 years old), a resident of the apartment building, shared: "I have been here for 5-6 years, and have never witnessed any serious conflict between neighbors. Everyone is always harmonious and happy, if there are problems, just gently discuss to solve them, big things have never happened."
Ms. Dung (36 years old), a resident of Sky Central apartment building, added: Since the incident, people have been talking about it quite a lot, but mainly to remind each other to avoid similar incidents. This is the first time I have witnessed such an incident in the place where I live.
Everyone was upset when a man assaulted a woman. Some people are still worried, because if only because of small conflicts between children, adults behave like that, then no one will be able to feel secure in letting their children play.
Ms. Dung said that her family had a case when her child beat a small friend, but the child's mother handled it very civilly. This mother only went down to ask why the two children were fighting, and said that sometimes it was difficult for children to avoid the dispute. The way the two sides exchanged was gentle and polite, completely different from hot-tempered behavior.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Anh - Director of Sky Central Apartment Management Board - said that this was the first time such an incident had occurred at this apartment building. When the incident occurred, security forces on duty were present in time to prevent and stop the assault and protect the safety of the woman.
The cause comes from conflicts between young children, but adults cannot find a common voice.
According to Mr. Anh, the Management Board handled the case according to the correct procedures to avoid going too far. After controlling the situation, the unit reported to the local authorities, the ward police and coordinated to provide complete data to serve the investigation. At the same time, the Management Board also sent people to visit and support the victim's family to reassure their spirit and ensure security and order in the area.
"When residents have conflicts, the Management Board plays a bridging role, helping the parties discuss and resolve the matter in a gentle manner, avoiding the incident from getting into a scandal. In apartment buildings, in addition to playgrounds dedicated to children, there are also common spaces such as the yard in front of the building, where all behavioral acts have been clearly regulated in the regulations on management and use of apartment buildings approved by the apartment building conference and according to the provisions of law.
Children sometimes have disputes and get toys is inevitable, but adults need to be alert to clearly recognize the line between right and wrong, to handle situations reasonably and civilly, Mr. Anh shared.
