The program "A Midday Date" brought a meeting between Mr. Van Tra (36 years old, electrical engineer working at the Nhon Trach thermal power project, Dong Nai) and Ms. Tran Thi Nga (born in 1991, history teacher in Ho Chi Minh City, also a yoga instructor). The story of the two quickly attracted attention when both had clear personalities, mature life views but were still looking for a suitable other half.
Right from the introduction, Mr. Tra impressed when he could communicate in many foreign languages such as English, French, Japanese. However, the male engineer admitted that he was quite shy in love affairs. Although there was an opportunity to meet, he often did not actively express himself, so he has not yet married.
Sharing about his love life, he said he had gone through three relationships. The most recent relationship considered getting married, but in the end it didn't work out because his girlfriend's family wanted their daughter to marry someone near their house. "I really appreciate that relationship, it took quite a long time to conquer her, so when I wasn't accepted, I was also sad," he said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Nga creates sympathy for her openness and depth. In addition to teaching, she likes to travel in the direction of exploration, loves singing and has a habit of humming every time she goes out. The female teacher considers herself an optimist but sometimes stubborn person, wanting to find a man with depth of thought, who knows how to share and is brave enough to "control" her stubbornness.
However, she explained that "control" is not about imposing or controlling, but about someone who is understanding enough, helping her balance and see the problem more clearly when emotions dominate. The couple also found some common ground. Anh Tra loves classic values, idolizing singer Dang Le Quan for his voice and multilingual style. Coincidentally, Ms. Nga also once sang a song by this female singer and was willing to perform a passage right on stage, receiving cheers from the audience.
In their private conversation, both shared quite positive views on life. Ms. Nga said that what makes her most grateful is being healthy, having a family and also the difficulties that help her grow up. As for Mr. Tra, the greatest achievement is being educated, having a stable job and being able to take care of himself and his family.
When talking about marriage, the female teacher said that she used to wonder why women must get married, but after many experiences, she realized that marriage can come when people are ready, not necessarily depending on age. The male engineer believes that men should get married before the age of 40, when they have a career and life experience.
The program also brings a small challenge when Ms. Nga checks Mr. Tra's historical knowledge and guides him to perform a relaxing breathing yoga exercise. The atmosphere becomes gentle when both participate in the challenge, and also helps them have more time to observe each other.
However, at the decisive moment, the two did not press the dating button. Ms. Nga frankly said that she was waiting for a feeling of emotion but did not clearly feel it. However, the two still shook hands, cherished the meeting and wished each other to find the right person soon.
