Reader Nguyen Thi Huyen, born in 1982, said: She is a police officer with the rank of Lieutenant colonel, position of officer, title of Intermediate Police Officer.
Ms. Huyen has been working in the People's Public Security Forces since 2004, has paid health insurance for 20 years and works under normal working conditions.
Ms. Huyen added that she worked at the Ward Police for 10 months, worked at the Investigation Team for 2 years; the remaining time until now, she has worked at the Administrative Management Police Team for Social Order.
"Ministry of Public Security, I would like to ask, after the salary reform, if I resign from serving in the People's Public Security, what benefits will I receive? Will I receive a one-time benefit, how much is it, and if I receive it monthly, how much is it?
When I retire, will I be entitled to a conversion benefit? How is the conversion amount calculated?" - Ms. Huyen asked.
Responding to this content on the Electronic Information Portal, the Ministry of Public Security said: Reader Nguyen Thi Huyen did not provide full information on the date of joining the People's Public Security and her specific work process, so there is not enough basis to answer the specific policies she will enjoy when she stops serving in the People's Public Security.
However, based on the provisions of the law on the implementation of regimes and policies for police officers who retire before the age limit, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen can refer to some additional contents, as follows:
Firstly, if Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen has 20 years of service in the People's Public Security, of which at least 5 years are counted as police seniority and has 20 years of social insurance contributions or more, but the People's Public Security no longer needs to arrange or does not transfer to another sector or voluntarily resigns, the female People's Public Security officer will be considered for retirement benefits according to the provisions of Article 3 of Decree No. 49/2019/ND-CP dated June 6, 2019 of the Government detailing and implementing measures for a number of articles of the Law on People's Public Security.
Second, if not eligible for retirement benefits, female police officers will be considered for discharge or transfer to another profession and enjoy the following benefits and policies:
- In case of demobilization, the regimes are entitled to the provisions in Clause 2, Article 5 of Decree No. 49/2019/ND-CP dated June 6, 2019 of the Government detailing and implementing a number of articles of the Law on Public Security and Article 4 of Circular No. 54/2019/TT-BCA dated November 11, 2019 of the Minister of Public Security stipulating the one-time subsidy regime for officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers of the Public Security, and public security workers who retire, change careers, are discharged from the army, quit their jobs, sacrifice, or pass away. One-time subsidy, one-time subsidy for the additional time due to conversion (if any); job creation subsidy; travel expenses from the unit to the place of residence.
In addition to the above allowances, depending on personal wishes, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen will have her social insurance payment period in the People's Public Security Forces reserved or will be entitled to a one-time social insurance benefit according to the provisions of Article 60 of the 2014 Law on Social Insurance.
- In case of career change, the regimes prescribed in Clause 1 and Clause 2, Article 4 of Circular No. 54/2019/TT-BCA dated November 11, 2019 of the Minister of Public Security are enjoyed.
