On the evening of August 17, the concert "Proud to be Vietnamese" opened with the performance "Source - Calling the name of Vietnam".
The atmosphere at My Dinh Square became solemn when President Ho Chi Minh's words in the Historical Declaration of Independence resounded, affirming the right to life, freedom and the right to seek happiness of each person, as well as the steadfast declaration of the independence of the Vietnamese nation.
Immediately after that, the song "Marching Song" by the late musician Van Cao - the immortal song chosen as the National Anthem since 1945 - was victorious.
Singer Tung Duong caught the rhythm, combined with a large choir and more than 30,000 audiences singing in unison, creating a sacred moment filled with national pride.

In the brilliant scene with red flags with yellow stars flying, many audiences wore costumes printed with the image of the Fatherland, joining in the same beat of solidarity and patriotism.
On his personal page, Tung Duong expressed his honor to perform the National Anthem, considering it not only a patriotic song but also a tribute to the indomitable and resilient spirit of the Vietnamese people - the eternal values that run in parallel between tradition and modernity.
