This film was a huge hit when it was released in the 70s and was awarded the Horror Hall of Fame award in 1991.
In the comments section, many people said that this unintentionally reduced the audience's sympathy for the film as well as the actress herself. Plagiarism in the art field is always an act that is strongly condemned, not showing respect and seriousness for the profession.
Released on October 26, "The Confessions of Kieu Nghien" has now grossed over 120 million NDT (about 427 billion VND). This is quite a successful number for new actors appearing on the big screen such as Trieu Le Dinh and Tan Chi Loi. Besides the praise for the content, the improved acting of the beauty Trieu is the highlight of the whole film.
In 2024, all three films released in theaters with the participation of Trieu Le Dinh had good revenue. "The 20th Thing" had a box office revenue of more than 2 billion NDT (about 7,117 billion VND), "Lustful Fire Road" earned 461 million NDT (about 1,641 billion VND) and "Confessions of Kieu Nghien" currently has 122 million NDT (about 434 billion VND).
In particular, the role of the mute mother Hach Tu Binh in "The 20th Article" helped Trieu Le Dinh win the Best Supporting Actress award at Bach Hoa 2024. The film "Kieu Nghien's Confessions" was also premiered at the 2024 Tokyo Film Festival and was nominated for the Tokyo Grand Prix - the main category for best film.
