On the evening of December 20, the Melon Music Awards (MMA) 2025 took place at Gocheok Sky Dome Stadium, Seoul (Korea).
This year, Big Bang leader G-Dragon won with 7 awards, including 3 major awards (Daesang).
With his third studio album Übermensch, G-Dragon won the Daesang Album of the Year award; the song Home Sweet Home helped him win the Daesang Song of the Year award; and the male singer won the Daesang Artist of the Year award. G-Dragon has swept 3 out of 4 Daesang trophies at MMA 2025.
In addition to the 3 Daesang awards, G-Dragon also received the Top 10 Best Artists, Top 10 Best albums, Best Male Solist and Best Composer awards.
Previously, G-Dragon set a record as the top artist on the Melon digital music chart for all 3 consecutive decades - 2000, 2010 and 2020.
When honored on the MMA stage, G-Dragon shared: Although every year is special and precious, perhaps this year will be remembered as the most special year.
The album Übermensch means people surpass everything, it is like a miracle told to oneself. I made the album with that mindset. Thank you V.I.P (Big Bang's fandom) - you are always my inspiration. I also miss the Big Bang members. Thank you to my family and friends.

The final Daesang award in the 4 major awards went to Jennie (Blackpink). Jennie received Record of the Year award for her studio album Ruby. In addition, the female idol won 2 other awards, Top 10 Best Artist and Top 10 Best Album.
The Rookie of the Year award was given to the two groups Hearts2Hearts and Allday Project.
Although Rose (Blackpink) did not attend, she also made her mark at this year's MMA with 3 awards, including Best Female solo Artist, Top 10 Best Artists and Top 10 Best albums.
Not only did G-Dragon and Jennie win big, they also had explosive solo performances.
Returning to MMA after 7 years, Jennie brought the songs "Like Jennie", "Zen" and "Seoul City" combined with a strong, attractive style. Jennie's stage and choreography were also staged grandly and eye-catchingly.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon performed a series of hits Power, Too Bad, Crooked. In particular, the song "Crooked" was performed by the male singer with many artists in the stands, making the atmosphere of the awards ceremony even more vibrant.
