Recently, BTS's J-Hope appeared as a guest pitcher for the baseball game between KIA Tigers and Samsung Lions, within the framework of the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO Korean Baseball League.
This is also his first official schedule since being discharged from the army on October 17.
Not only did J-Hope nail his first pitch, he also surprised ARMY (BTS fandom) by showing off his purple glove, honoring BTS's signature color.
While J-Hope was in the stands, fans captured several moments of the idol dancing to K-pop hits on the field, including BTS' "Dynamite" and Blackpink's Rose's recently released "APT."
J-Hope even performed the drinking game choreography like Rose and Bruno Mars in the MV “APT.” The video of J-Hope enthusiastically responding to the song “APT.” quickly went viral on social media and received millions of views on Twitter.
“APT.” by Rose featuring Bruno Mars was released on October 18 and is currently causing a stir in both Korea and internationally.
The song has maintained the “Real Time All-Kill” achievement for 115 hours, as of 9am on October 24. It topped the real-time charts of the top 4 music platforms in Korea: Melon, Bugs, Genie, Flo.
“APT.” is expected to achieve a “Perfect All-Kill” certification in Korea this weekend.
“APT.” is the first song to surpass 500,000 unique listeners in a day on Melon in 2024.
The song also helped Rose set a record as the first female Kpop solo artist in history to reach Top 1 on the global Spotify chart.
Currently, “APT.” has been at the Top 1 on Spotify globally and Spotify US for 3 consecutive days - breaking Jungkook (BTS)'s record for the song with the most days at the Top 1 on Spotify US.
