BTS's J-hope's management company said he will be discharged from the military on October 17.

Bighit Music shared that it will not hold an event on October 17 and asked fans not to come to the barracks to ensure safety.

Accordingly, the male idol's management company shared: "We are very happy to bring you the news that J-hope is about to be discharged from the military.

Discharge day is a day that every soldier experiences, and there will be no special events planned for J-Hope's discharge day. To prevent any problems arising from crowds, fans are advised not to gather at the discharge location. Please send your wishes and feelings with all your heart.

We are always grateful for your unending love and support for J-Hope. Our company will continue to do our best to support our artists.

Once again, thank you for always loving and supporting BTS."

J-Hope enlisted on April 14, 2023 and took on the position of assistant instructor at the Recruit Training Center, 36th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army.

Previously, on September 17, Korean time, J-Hope took to the fan communication platform - Weverse - to express his thoughts: "One month, exactly 30 days. Time passes so slowly, but now I'm attached to it. When I clean up, I give used items to my juniors and look at the empty closet, I feel more emotional."

Recalling his time in the army, he added: "Looking back, it's not a big deal, but back then, I was very stressed (meaning the male idol was under pressure when he joined the army - PV). Even the sound of opening the locker made me uncomfortable. Now when I see the new recruits, I feel attached to them and find myself smiling when I remember my past self. I'm proud of my time here. I feel happy about that."
