On the evening of December 21, the 2024 SBS Drama Awards ceremony was held in Korea, to honor the station's top dramas and actors this year.
2024 was a successful year for SBS when 4 dramas were in the Top 10 Korean dramas with the highest ratings of the year, including "Good Partner", "The Fiery Priest 2", "Connection", and "The Judge from Hell".
Notably, actress Jang Nara was awarded the Daesang (grand prize) for her role in the film “Good Partner”. This is the first time Jang Nara has won the Daesang for acting in 23 years since her debut as an actress.
SBS Drama of the Year also went to "Good Partner".
In her acceptance speech, Jang Nara shed tears and said, “I can’t believe it. I feel like I’ve experienced all the wonderful things of my life at SBS. Like the title of the drama, I met “good companions” and touched this trophy. I’m so grateful.
As I get older, I realize how amazing it is that people I don't even know like me and watch my dramas. Whether you look at me with favor or hate, I'm grateful that you watched. I will continue to work hard, I want to be an actor that makes you curious.
I always think about change and see how long I can do this job. I am very grateful to the audience who happily accepted my change.”
Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye was the winner of the Director's Choice Award. Actors Ahn Bo Hyun, Jeon Mi Do, Kim Nam Gil, Lee Ha Nee (Honey Lee), Kim Jae Young, Nam Ji Hyun won the Best Acting Award.
