Recently, Korean fashion magazine Elle announced that Jisoo (Blackpink) will become the cover face for the July 2025 issue. On a series of Elle photos, the female singer born in 1995 shines with a youthful, dynamic style, imbued with the summer atmosphere.
After the photo shoot, Jisoo had an interview with Elle, sharing about her happiness in life and especially revealing about Blackpink's highly anticipated comeback.
According to Jisoo, she always finds happiness in the small and simple things of life: There is a playground near my house, and when I open the window, I can hear dogs barking and children chatting while playing. That made me smile.
I try to enjoy small peaceful moments along with the warm weather. I think I can finally enjoy summer.
With Blackpink's upcoming world tour "DEADLINE," Jisoo expressed her excitement: "I'm really looking forward to it and I'm very excited. We really miss the cheers of Blink (Blackpink fan community), and we are preparing something great to be able to hear their cheers even bigger. So let's wait."
Talking about the power of Blackpink when reuniting as a full-forth group, Jisoo shared, "Since we each work in many different personal projects, when we collaborate with each other, we have more ideas and open up more possibilities.
By gathering all our experience and strengths, I think we can come back stronger as a team.
When asked What is the longest thing I love, Jisoo replied: Maybe its me. I think I am the one who supports me the most. I always encourage myself and give myself the most love".
After leaving YG Entertainment at the end of 2023, like the other members, Jisoo established her own management company called BLISSOO and signed a contract with the US record label Warner Records.
Throughout 2024, Jisoo mainly focused on film activities. She participated in 2 projects - the drama "Newtopia" and the movie "The Prophet: Omniscient Reader". Both films will be completed in 2024.
Newtopia aired in February 2025 and The Prophet: Omniscient Reader is scheduled to premiere on July 23.
Also in February 2025, Jisoo released the mini album "Amortage", marking her return to the music scene after about 2 years, since the single album "Me" released in March 2023.
Jisoo is currently filming a new film "Boyfriend on Demand", in which she plays the lead role with actor Seo In Guk.
