On the evening of May 5, episode 2 of the program "Wanna One go: Back to base" was broadcast on Mnet Plus, revealing the long-awaited story of former member Lai Quan Lam (Lai Kuan Lin) and the touching reunion moments with the group Wanna One.
Wanna One member Ha Sung Woon once shared in a previous interview that many fans missed Lai Quan Lam and said: "I am also curious about his current situation".
Not long after, the producer said they had contacted Lai Guanlin.
To meet Guan Lin, Sung Woon and the production crew flew to Beijing (China). After 7 years of reuniting with his juniors, Sung Woon could not hide his nervousness and emotion.

While eating with Sung Woon, Lai Quan Lam still cared for and took care of his senior. Talking about cooking Korean dishes himself, Quan Lam shared: "When I first came to Beijing, I had no friends, and my family was not here either... I really craved Korean food but had no one to ask, so I had to try to cook myself to be able to eat delicious Korean dishes.
Regarding his current life, he said: "Currently I am working at a film production company in China, both working and studying scripts, mainly participating in making short films. I am really a salaried worker, so I feel very secure.
When praised for still speaking Korean fluently, Lai Quan Lam confessed: "Perhaps because I still miss Korea". He also showed off a tattoo on his hand that is the debut date of the group Wanna One - 7. 8.
If you ask me if there is any day worth celebrating, it's probably August 7th," the former Wanna One member said, thereby expressing beautiful memories and deep feelings for the group.
Lai Quan Lam confided to Sung Woon that because he has retired and is determined to pursue directing, appearing on television "has a bit of a burden".

After that, Quan Lam sent a message to the members he could not meet directly: "I have a lot to say, but I don't know where to start. To my dear brothers, I miss you very much.
I really want to meet you guys, but appearing on TV, frankly, is a bit of a pressure for me. Let's meet on a private occasion later and chat a lot. I love you guys so much.
Hearing these words, the whole group burst into tears. Even Park Ji Hoon, because he was too emotional, left the room to wipe away tears.
