According to Korean media, a mysterious person shortened to Mr. A filed a complaint against Boo Ji Seok of Buyou Law Firm, representing the family of the late actor Kim Sae Ron, to the Korean Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, accusing the lawyer of serious wrongdoings related to the lawsuit against actor Kim Soo Hyun.
Mr. A accused Boo's lawyer of inciting the illegal distribution of private images.
Mr. A's complaint further stated: "As a legal representative of Kim Sae Ron's family, Boo had to do more, rather than just provide legal advice. He has actively disseminated Kim Sae Ron's family's complaints and used his legal status as a prosecutor to present false information. This abuse of legal authority deserves serious criticism".
Mr. A also stated that Boo's lawyer had presented unverified documents. Lawyer Boo is also accused of publicly making accusations that affected Kim Soo Hyun's reputation and public image both domestically and internationally.
The complaint added that this has led to financial and reputational losses, including the actor's threat of other lawsuits and the possibility of suspending upcoming projects.
Previously, actor Kim Soo Hyun's management company filed a criminal complaint to sue the family of Kim Sae Ron, a YouTuber, and an individual identified as Ms. B, who claimed to be Kim Sae Ron's aunt.
The reason comes from Kim Sae Ron's family's statements that she dated Kim Soo Hyun when she was a minor, implying that Kim Soo Hyun has the ability to "lure minors".
To prove their claim, her family published previous text messages between the two. At a press conference last month, Boo's lawyer stated, "At the time, Kim Sae Ron was 17 years old. In the letter, she wrote that they had been dating for 5-6 years and described Kim Soo Hyun as her first love."
