In fact, Bui Thac Phong used to participate in professional football training. He is a member of the Hanoi FC youth team, having trained and competed for 4 years. Due to a serious injury, he gave up his professional acting career and switched to acting.
Bui Thac Phong's first role was Trong in "Rain on the Wings of butterflies", co-starring with his mother, actress Tu Oanh.

Bui Thac Phong confided about his first film with his mother: "I feel lucky to work with my mother, to be exposed to her in another aspect of work. That process opened up a space for me and my mother to understand each other better, which we had not had the opportunity to talk to before. Before that, although working in the same profession, my relatives and I rarely talked about work.
My mother is the only woman in the family, an emotional person, always trying to arrange to be with her children as much as possible. When I pursue an acting career and go filming with my mother, my mother is very happy. Seeing my mother happy, I am happy too".
Bui Thac Phong was born in 2003, the second son of director Bui Thac Chuyen and actress Tu Oanh. He studied at Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema, and appeared in films "Rain on the butterfly Wings" and "No Time".
