The historical drama project “Mo Si Ci” starring Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Feiyu officially announced its cast on September 3. After holding the opening ceremony, the film crew posted the first welfare video, revealing the appearance of the two main characters, the female demon king Xia Si Mu and the young general Duan Si.
However, when the images were shared on social media, Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Feiyu received negative reactions from the public. According to the audience, the actors' looks were Westernized and lacked Eastern aesthetics.
Not only that, the costumes in “Mo Tu Tu” are somewhat similar to “Thuong Lan Quyet” and “Thien Hoa Dao Hoa Nhat The Khai”. Notably, the makeup and clothes make the actors not match the image described in the story.
“Grave of the Dead” is a project invested heavily by Tencent Video, adapted from the novel “White Sun Deng” by author Le Thanh Nhien. In addition to Dilraba Dilmurat and Tran Phi Vu, the film also features the participation of Wei Triet Minh, Truong Le, Cao Han, Trieu Dich Kham, Duong Hat Tu, An Duyet Khe, Pho Bac Ham…
The film revolves around the story of the female demon king Ha Tu Mo (Dilraba Dilmurat) and the young general Doan Tu (Chen Feiyu). During a day off, the demon king Ha Tu Mo was looking for food when he accidentally met General Doan Tu.
Both explore and learn about each other's past, aspirations and lives. Despite the age barrier (a mortal's lifespan is only a hundred years and a female demon lives to be 400 years old and is still a young girl), they still use their love to go against the flow of time.
In "The Grave of the Dead", the character of the demon king Ha Tu Mo is nearly 400 years old, the most powerful queen in 10 generations, possesses the magical weapon "Wan Linh Dang" and likes to collect skulls.
In front of others, Ha Tu Mo is moody, lazy, and cares about appearance. But in reality, she is both naive and cruel, dreaming of having all five taste buds to become a real person.
Having experienced the senses, Ha Tu Mo opened his heart to the beauty of the world.
