On the evening of December 30th, the MBC Drama Awards 2025 television drama awards ceremony took place in Seoul, South Korea, hosted by the MC duo Lee Sun Bin and Kim Sung Joo.
This year's Daesang award (large award) of MBC station belonged to Seo Kang Jun for the main role in the movie "Undercover High School" (Vietnamese title: Youth Mission).
Holding the important cup, Seo Kang Joon shared: "At this moment, I feel more confused and surprised than happy.
The actor sent his thanks to his family, production team, project executive producer and CEO Kim Min Ok of Man of Creation management company.
Seo Kang Joon added: "This is the first work I filmed after being discharged from the army. I miss the film set very much. For more than 10 years as an actor, I always told myself to be respectful and grateful, but maybe sometimes I accidentally forgot. Thanks to "Undercover High School" I received such a heavy award.
He also frankly shared his worries in the profession: "During filming, sometimes I think that I can be replaced at any time. Although I think and try very hard, looking around, I see that there are many people who are more talented and try harder than me.
I wondered "Why am I holding this cup?" or "Am I worthy of a position on the film set?". In the end, I could only think that it was luck.
Seo Kang Joon expressed his determination: "No one knows how old I will be in this profession, but until the end, I don't want to become someone who is easily replaced. I will act with more desire, research and thought.
This year, no MBC dramas have exceeded the rating threshold of 10%. "Undercover High School" reached the highest level of 8.3%.
At the awards ceremony, this film won a total of 4 awards. In addition to Seo Kang Joon's Daesang Cup, actress Jin Ki Joo won the Best Actress award, Kim Shin Rok won the Best Supporting Actress award.
Undercover High School" was also honored as Film of the Year.
Meanwhile, the Best Couple award belonged to two stars of the movie "Moon River" (Vietnamese title: Moon and Moon Swap) Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong. Both also won the Best Actor/Actress award for their roles.
Moon River" won a total of 7 awards at this year's MBC Awards.
