Charlie Nguyen is the producer of the movie "Blood Moon Party 8" currently in theaters. As of May 12, the movie has a revenue of about more than 30 billion VND.
When sharing about his most favorite work in his career, Charlie Nguyen said that there are two films that always bring him many special emotions.
In addition to "My Wife" - a work that created a big buzz in revenue in 2019, the movie "Hero's Blood" is still the first movie he remembers.
The male director admitted that even now, he still does not understand how the crew at that time could complete and "make" the film in all kinds of difficult conditions.

Released in 2007, "Dong mau anh hung" once created a big buzz when boldly trying its hand at the action - historical genre in the context that Vietnamese films at that time were still quite cautious with large-scale projects.
According to Charlie Nguyen, at that time the Vietnamese film market was not as developed as it is today.
The distribution system is still limited, capital is scarce, while the team of professional personnel for action movies is still not many.
He said "Dòng máu anh hùng" is a big memory because the production process was long and many times seemed impossible to complete.
The crew had to maneuver in conditions of lack of personnel, lack of resources, and at the same time harmonize many different ways of working.
According to the director, this is the stage when the film crew coordinates with state units according to a completely different production model, while the goal is to create a cinematic work aimed at the mass market.
Charlie Nguyen believes that at the present time, commercial film production has become much more favorable thanks to a clearer film ecosystem development: a large number of personnel, high professionalization and many professional support service units.
Conversely, when filming "Dong mau anh hung", the crew almost had to find their own way in a relatively new environment.

Therefore, for the director, the greatest value of the film is not in revenue or awards, but in the fact that the final work is still completed as initially expected.
He sees this as a milestone for the spirit of daring to think and dare to do of Vietnamese filmmakers in a period when there is not much precedent for large-scale action films.
Released in 2007, "Dòng máu anh hùng" is set in the 1920s, revolving around the character Le Van Cuong - a secret police officer working for France but gradually falling into a tug-of-war between duty and conscience when witnessing the pain of compatriots.
The meeting with Thuy (Ngo Thanh Van), the daughter of a revolutionary, pushed him on a journey of choice between two battle lines.
The film attracted attention thanks to the well-invested action part, fast pace of storytelling and a prominent cast such as Johnny Tri Nguyen, Ngo Thanh Van and Dustin Nguyen.

The work once made its mark at the 15th Vietnam Film Festival with three important awards, notably the Silver Lotus Award.
Besides domestic success, the film also received recognition from international experts with the Special Jury Prize at the 52nd Asia-Pacific Film Festival.
Blood of Heroes" is one of the films carefully selected to contribute to looking back at the face of Vietnamese cinema in 40 years of Doi Moi, within the framework of the program "The Face of Vietnamese Cinema 40 Years of Doi Moi" of the Organizing Committee of the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV).
