According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, there are currently 30 schools in the city that are not safe enough to resume teaching from tomorrow (September 9) because they have not yet resolved the problems caused by storm No. 3. Of these, there are 19 schools in districts, towns and cities and 11 schools under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training is continuing to direct schools to coordinate with relevant units to quickly overcome incidents caused by storm No. 3, and soon welcome students back to school safely.
Earlier, at noon on September 8, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training issued an urgent document regarding students returning to school after storm No. 3.
The Department of Education and Training requires educational institutions to mobilize human resources to clean up schools, overcome the consequences of the storm, and ensure conditions for students to return to school. For schools that have not yet ensured safe learning conditions due to the impact of storm No. 3, they will not organize teaching for students for now, and at the same time, have a plan to report to competent authorities to immediately remedy the damage.
Based on the practical conditions of the school, after overcoming the consequences of the storm, the school principal reports to the competent authority to decide on the re-organization of learning of the educational institution, ensuring the time frame for the 2024-2025 school year.
During the time these units have not organized teaching, teachers are required to go to school with functional forces to participate in cleaning and general cleaning of schools and classrooms, overcoming the consequences of the storm; proactively develop a plan to make up for missed classes for students.
The document also requires vocational training centers, continuing education centers, foreign language centers, information technology centers, and life skills centers in the city to strictly implement the above regulations.
In the immediate future, units and schools must urgently review and count the damage to facilities, equipment, teaching aids, etc., and report to competent authorities to arrange funds to promptly repair the damage.
