On the morning of August 4, the Air Force Officer School (Air Defense - Air Force Service) held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the Unmanned Vehicle Practice Training Center.
The establishment of the Center is an important event, concretizing the strategic orientation of the Ministry of National Defense in anticipating the trend of military science development, building specialized forces, mastering modern equipment, meeting the requirements of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, requested the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Air Force Officer School, the Party Committee, the Command of the Center and all cadres, lecturers, students and staff to fully understand the position and meaning of the establishment of the Center.
From there, promote the spirit of responsibility, overcome difficulties, build comprehensively strong units "model and typical", and successfully complete assigned tasks.
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff also requested the Center to urgently consolidate the organization and staff; supplement forces and equipment; complete the system of regulations and rules; maintain regular order, discipline training, and strictly manage personnel, weapons, equipment, vehicles and technical supplies.
Along with that, the Center needs to innovate thinking, improve training quality, focus on building programs, textbooks, and training materials in the direction of standardization, science, close to combat practice and suitable for terrain conditions, climate as well as Vietnamese military art.
Training must ensure that the team of officers, control officers and technical staff have sufficient capacity to exploit and use proficiently, master technical equipment; closely combine theory with practice, between basic training and in-depth training, and strictly implement safety regulations during training.
In addition, the Center is required to promote research and development of combat art using unmanned vehicles, apply new technologies, and at the same time ensure good technical and logistical work, and strictly maintain the regime of preservation and maintenance of assigned equipment and weapons.
Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son also requested Party committees at all levels to focus on building typical clean and strong Party organizations; improve the leadership capacity and combat strength of Party organizations; pay attention to building a contingent of cadres, lecturers, students and staff with firm political bravery, high professional qualifications, innovative thinking, the ability to master science and technology and the ability to adapt to the development of unmanned vehicles.
At the same time, units need to effectively implement internal political protection work, build a united and unified leadership and command collective, promote the overall strength of forces, and be determined to build a solidly developed Unmanned Vehicle Practice Training Center, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
